For Those Who Suffered In Manchester

The horrific and criminal events in Manchester on 22nd of May 2017 were dreadful and I would like to dedicate this page to those who have suffered so much.

Killing and maiming people in the name of terror can never, ever be tolerated, and when the victims are young people and children who should have had their whole lives ahead of them, I feel deep despair and absolute horror that anyone would ever choose to do such a thing.

This is my personal statement from that dreadful day:

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the horrific attack in Manchester and with their families and loved ones.

Thank you to our emergency services who are true heroes, and to the members of the public who risked their lives to help the victims.

Terrorists are cowards and criminals.

But terrorism will fail because we will always stand up against those who threaten the British way of life and British Democracy.

The Bangladeshi community in Portsmouth organised a demonstration against terrorism in Guildhall Square on Thursday 25th May.
We paid our respects to the victims of the Manchester attack.

We have one simple message:

terrorism will fail and nothing can divide us.

United we stand. Terror we oppose.

Thank you for reading this.
I wanted to share my absolute condemnation of this terrorist attack.
This is a time for communities to stand together not be driven apart by fear and misunderstanding.
